Air Conditioning Repairs

Aircon system diagnosis requires well experienced service experts. The majority of faults that occur are based on leaks in the pressurised system. We have 3 main methods of finding these leaks.

1. We can use a gas sniffer which can sense the aircon gas when it escapes the system.

2. We can recover the remaining gas and then charge the system with Nitrogen which is a harmless gas that has no impact on the environment. We charge the system with 200psi and use a leak detection fluid which creates bubbles when sprayed on the leaking component to localise the leak.

3. For very slow leaks which are not detectable through the first two methods we can recharge the system with a UV dye which leaks out over time and can easily be seen under a UV light with special glasses. The faulty part can easily be detected by these methods and then be replaced.

On top of leaks there are other faults that can affect your A/C performance. Starting with slipping aircon or fan belts, condenser fans not performing to spec, dirt in
condenser, blocked cabin air filter, faulty cabin fan motor, blocked evaporator, fault
in electric system to engage compressor clutch, compressor variable load valves, stuck TX valve, etc… We’ve got the equipment and the experience to check for all of these scenarios and offer you the best possible repair or service option.

We also install aftermarket aircon systems like RedDot units into construction
equipment or trucks or we can install your aftermarket reverse cycle aircon units like the full Dometic range into your camper trailer, caravan, motor home, container, slide on camper or whatever else you need to cool down in summer or heat up in winter.

  Frank was awesome.  He really sorted my 12v issues that a referred auto sparky was confused about.  Yes, it was a little more costly, but good god, the cost of my first setup that didn’t work vs doing it right is no comparison.  Don’t go cheap as it could cause fires, it could cause issues that you blame on products that is due to poor wiring.  Just get it done with confidence with these guys.
